I'm the type of person who needs a lot of alone time. More than the average person? I don't know. All I know is that if I don't get that alone time I start to get really cranky. Thankfully, my husband recognizes those signals and either pushes me out the door and tells me to go away until I feel human again, or he and the children will put their shoes on and back out of the house slowly without making any sudden moves.
Yesterday was one of those days.
The good news is that after the alone time I feel like communicating and being around people again. So yesterday evening I was back to myself and was able to perform my cooking duty cheerfully without throwing a saute pan through my kitchen window.
Five spice fried rice, very yummy! A little too heavy on the chinese five spice for our liking so next time I will probably use about half the amount.
