So they say that "People who slept less than seven hours were about three times more likely to get a cold than people who slept eight hours or more a night,". So my Healthy Month resolution is to go to bed by 10:00 and and to get up at at 6:30 at the latest. I really didn't think this would be rough. Sounds extremely reasonable, doesn't it? Here's the reality of it:
1) I am a night owl and NOT a morning person. So hmmmm....yeah it's been tough.
2) Tuesday night 9:30 - 10:00 is a rough transition from "meeting high" to "sleeptime". There are snacks, drinks, jammies - you know the WHOLE kid routine then I must immediately shut down and go to bed too?!
3) My idea was to get up before the kids get up so that would be my alone/quiet time instead of at night which I prefer. Yeah right. Somehow my kids know the minute my feet set down off my bed and from that moment on until they go to bed it's "mom. mom. momma. mom." You get the idea.
4) Sometimes the only time I have to exercise UNINTERRUPTED is late at night. Nothing makes a workout harder than stopping every few minutes to tie a bow on a webkinz or take care of some other "necessity". So I've been trying other times. See #3.
Perks:
I haven't gotten a cold in the past 7 days?

I am such a night owl like you! Kit is always telling me it's time to go to bed, but even then I lay in bed watching TV...cuz it's so fun!
I like to stay up late too, but I definitely feel much better when I get enough sleep. Another Troup syndrome - not enough sleep=grouchy!
Hay justine I hope it all works out for u .
