Time to talk about one of our favorite subjects....FOOD! I have been trying to cook some super healthy organic meals for my family to make up for the nights when "morning sickness" prevails and frozen pizza is clearly the best option.
Kale seems to be growing out our ears and I was at a loss as to what to do with it all until I came across Sauteed Kale from Epicurious.com. All but the pickiest of us (yes, that means Phoebe) loved it and it's quickly become a winter staple. Last night we added it to Osteria Stellina's Beef Stew and poured the stew over couscous. I may have posted this recipe before but if so, it is well worth a re-post. It's a bit time consuming...but what good stew isn't?

Another new favorite recipe, Thai Cabbage Salad from Oakville Grocery. Sorry no photo of that one, we scarfed it down before I thought to take one...two nights in a row! I love the color and flavor the turmeric and curry give the dressing.

Yum!!! Gotta love comfort food.
Here's another kale idea:
Kale Salad
Take the small, tender leaves from the middle of the bunch and trim the stems. Drizzle with olive oil and throw in some chopped pecans/walnuts, chopped shallots and crumbled feta cheese. Season with S&P. Add lemon juice to each individual serving since it will turn the kale grey if it sits on it for awhile.
Takes a lot of chewing, but so worth the effort! ;)
Kale never had it looks good, frozen pizza is a staple hear at my house
