I was holding off on one of my last few "Deep Winter" recipes for when one of us got sick. Thankfully due to our horrible immune systems I got sick and had the grand opportunity to make Chicken and Vegetable Soup. It called for a whole chicken cut up, so that was a new experience for me. But now I know I can do it and it is actually more economical. I would recommend cooking this dish before you get sick, because I had to get woken up after it had been brewing for 4 hours to sieve out the meat and veggies. Not the funnest thing to do when you are sick.
Anyways this was a really good dish, although I hope you don't have to get sick to be inspired to make this dish!
