I know, I know....the year is winding down and I'm losing steam. This is exactly my problem with all goals. Zack can never understand how I can program the treadmill for 5 miles, and just when I get within sight of the finish line...maybe 4.75 miles, I completely lose interest and shut the thing off. He doesn't understand how I can crochet 7/8ths of a blanket, and stop when all that's left is the trim. Much like the half painted flowers in my daughters room...had the idea, painted the flowers...eh, just don't want to finish the rest.
What's wrong with me?
Well, I'm pretty determined to finish this project off right, so I'm not going to stop. Even though extreme sadness overcame me when I heard that there was a girl trip planned to the big sale in the city... Even though it seemed like everyone I knew went Black Friday shopping... Even though the rest of my recipes are boring...
Okay, so with that vent completed I'm going to leave you with (one piddly lonely) recipe that I completed this weekend. Asian Noodle Soup with Pumpkin.
I also wanted to talk about something I've learned during this years project. Most of the time, I don't like to buy things unless they are way on sale. And for the most part, that's a good thing...I'll very rarely impulsively buy something, usually all my purchases are mulled over (annoying) thoroughly. But there are some things that I'm so glad that I purchased and would buy again even if it weren't on sale. First thing on the list: my Dyson Vacuum cleaner. So expensive....but oh so worth it. Never loses suction (I thought the ad said never uses suction and for a long time was confused: "if it's not using suction then HOW is it vacuuming up all these crumbled goldfish on my floor?")
Well, it does use suction and it picks everything up and the thing has never broken.
So that's my consumer report for the day.
