You're gonna wish you had Smell-a-Vision!...by Justine

Ok, so I may have already blogged about Jamie Oliver's hamburgers (or as some of us like to say "Hamburger Sandwiches) but this time it was picture worthy. Listen to what was on this baby...roasted peppers, bacon, cheddar cheese, italian salsa verte, carmelized onions...all on a toasted foccacia. Now that's good eats!

Now this is the one you want Smell-a-Vision for...Leaving a round of Camembert cheese in the box it comes in, cut off the top rind, exposing the creamy cheese. Spread chopped garlic, salt and pepper, top with rosemary leaves. Drown in olive oil. Place box on a baking sheet and place in a 350 oven for 25 minutes...and heaven. Spread on anything lying around, preferably food but hey this would make cardboard taste good. Jamie Oliver's recipe suggests Rigatoni, spinach leaves and parmesean topped with a healthy serving off this lovely concoction. And yes that works too.

Getting a little bored with Jamie, I decided to visit my friend Martha for a little while. She lent me her family recipe for Peroshkis or Perogis (apparently they are interchangeable - correct me if I'm wrong). Here's the two I actually made...the rest were mostly done by my slaves, shown below.

But at least they were happy slaves! We ate cabbage and potato filled perogis both smothered in brown butter for dinner and Blueberry filled peroshkis topped with brown sugar sour cream and more blueberries. MMMMMMMMmmmm.

Hey...it's Marcella. Just wanted to say thank you so much for hosting pierogi night! I doubt I would have ever tried that on my own. I had a blast making them and now I know that regardless of what Martha says you must keep adding flour if the dough gives you club hands! They were unbelievably delicious! Also notable: Phoebe ate beets that night!
