so when my maca
roons came out flat like this, I was a little disturbed. But I referred to the cookbook photo and yes, indeed hers are flat as a pancake too. Guess it would be tough to make an ice cream sandwich out of a fluffy cookie. These were tasty, but they were the type of cookie that really stuck to your teeth when you ate them.....like REALLY bad. So I will stick to the fluffy ones, thank you very much. The first day of school went well. They both did great. Anya had a sweaty little death grip on my hand in the morning, but was perfectly fine and was excited this morning to go again, so that's a good sign. Welcome back to the school year everyone!!!

I love macaroons too, but they have to be dipped in chocolate. Or have chocolate chips in them. Or actually BE a chocolate macaroon...I think you get the picture :) I keep trying to peek in Anya's classroom when I'm picking up/droppin off Ella, but the window is covered in paper. It must be the top-secret-spy-kid-kindergarten-class ;)
Yes I agree that macaroons are 5000% better when accompanied by chocolate!
