Pork and Juli

As summer is rolling out and fall is whispering in, I have re-gained my desire to cook.

After a traumatic day of mishaps (can't bring myself to traumatize you) I eased my spirit with once again....bacon.
Pancetta was no where to be found so I happily used bacon in the Pancetta and Leek Stuffed Pork Chops.

This recipe was so easy and delicious.

This morning, I hesitantly rolled out of bed curious of what this day would bring me. I climbed to the top of the cupboard and busted out the crock pot...yep it's that time of year again. For nine hours the glorious smell of pot roast filled the house tormenting our bulldog Lola as the smells escaped outside. I of course was dreaming of it at work and I can imagine Kit's face as he walked in from his day. Can you tell I like meat? I have to say it was pretty good, although a tad dry. I think it could have used a big pile of fluffy garlic-y mashed potatoes.

Are both those recipes from your cookbook? How many do you have left anyways?
