Sick end to Healthy Month....by Jessica

I'm sure all my siblings would agree that my mom SPOILED us rotten while sick. I used to love the feel of her cool hand on my forehead, her "yep, I think you better stay home another day", her remembering that I liked toast and tea while sick, and letting me sit on the couch watching old Perry Mason's and Brady Bunch's with a glazed expression for hours.

My selfish and impatient nature does not lend to the disposition needed for good nursing care.

I'm trying though.

Awww...poor lil' Anya! Hope she feels better soon! Drink lots of lemon water-it worked for me. :)

Ha ha, that part about watching old Brady Bunch episodes is so true! I definitely remember watching plenty of Leave it to Beaver and Andy Griffith reruns when I was home sick. (Wait, I still do that...) Sadly, I now have to hold my own hand to my forehead and talk myself into going to work rather than being told to stay home from school "just one more day". Ahhhh, those were the days.

I know what you mean Marcella. I stayed home from work Friday, had to stay home today...now I'm starting to feel sick and will I get to stay home and lounge on the couch?...ohhh noooo. Being adult is no fun. *pouty face*

Oh man I used to LOVE Perry Mason!!! Mom is the best nurse and unfortunatley I didnt inherit those skills either. When Kit is sick I have no problem getting him what he wants, but its more like, "hurry up and get better, cuz Im bored" Poor fella.

I could write a very long comment on this subject...but we are currently relatively healthy, so I'm enjoying NOT having to take care of sick family members...for the moment ;)
