Free Stuff....by Juli

Buy one get one...FREE, FREE Sample, FREE trial .....Ah sweet music to my ears. Nothing brings me more happiness than getting something I want for FREE! I am thoroughly embracing my no purchasing this month and have been obsessively searching for FREE stuff on craigslist. Although i haven't found anything I really need, I have been so amazed at what I have found. Ok, so put on your imagination helmet and DIY goggles and see what potential these FREE items have:

I absolutely fell in love with this chair!!!

With all this FREE-ness going on, you need to be quick on your toes and available to run to and fro to snatch up these beauties. You have to be super diligent on craigslist and pass up about a million crappy FREE things {TV's, dirt, rocks, old chunked up concrete, ice cube trays and orthopedic shoes} before you stumble upon a diamond in the rough.

Tell me, whats the best thing you ever got for FREE?

Wow, all that stuff was for FREE? Awesome. The best thing I ever got for free was a pile of stuff that I sold on ebay. Pure profit :-) the best of the pile was a sweatshirt that sold for $40. That was fun!

Yes, all that stuff was FREE!!! If I had all day and a big moving truck I would be running all around northern CA to pick up those free beauties. I do have to say that ebay profit is oh so glorious. Good job Jess!

I got my first kitchen table free off Craigslist. It was solid wood, covered in crayon and scratches but I saw the potential. It took one whole weekend and a lot of sanding, but I fixed it up all by myself. We had it for 2 years and then passed it on to some friends when we moved so I still get to visit it!

My best free stuff: My brother in San Diego was heading up a construction site of new homes. The model homes were finished & decorated, but there were some problems, so they had to demolish parts of each house & redo it. They removed all of the model furniture, but all the decorations (framed artwork, window treatments, decorations on shelves, etc.) were going to be trashed!! My brother gave Cean his drill and said "take whatever you want, but you only have about an hour before the crew gets here to take what's left". We went running through the houses grabbing stuff off shelves, removing artwork from walls, & climbing ladders to remove window treatments. We had to rent a little U-haul trailer to get the artwork back here.

My favorite free things was this awesome very ornate bird cage that i found next to an appartment dumpster while we were out in service. I had my dad spray paint it and we used it for wedding cards at our wedding! It was awesome! We now have it as decoration in our backyard! I get compliments on it all the time! I am always finding free stuff though! My coffee table was a three legged find!, two weeks later i found an end table from ikea for free with 4 perfect legs! What fun!
