We started making our own chile powder by mixing up the various spice packets that can be found (cheapest) at a Mexican market. This time, I mixed 3 different kinds of ground peppers with 1 packet of granulated garlic. The fun of it is it always tastes different! We've been keeping them in our empty nori bottles - they are the perfect size.
Give this girl a job in the kitchen and she is a happy little helper. Artistic with her squash slices too!
Sometimes it's hard to gauge how much you are eating/drinking. This glass, for instance, is filled with ONE bottle of beer. If I drink a whole can of soda I think "I can't believe I drank that whole can!" but if I fill up this glass it just doesn't seem to be as much. So...watch out (Jessica) - you might be eating/drinking more than you think!
And, for all of you who have been wondering - the peaches are about the size of a plum and the yield will be very small this year. Even smaller than last year. Sorry!

Great idea with the chili spice mix!
What are you making with the squash? I need some squash/zuchinni ideas...
and what is a nori bottle?
Jess, a nori bottle looks like this:

the brand we get is slightly different, the lid pops open and is sturdier.
That night we just sliced the squash and then put a little butter, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese on it and baked in a 375 oven for 20 minutes or so. I've been using up zucchini with this recipe as no one knows it's in the bread!
