#9 Run a Race...by Juli

I am not a runner. I will run if I see a giant spider in my house. I will run if I see $20 dollar bill flying across the parking lot, I will run if my brothers are ripping the legs off of the daddy long leg and throwing them at me {yes, thats what they did, hence the fear of spiders}. To run without something chasing me is somewhat foreign in my mind. I have long been envious of the high runners get. Is it like the high I get when I eat a chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven? Or is it like the high when I get when I found something at the thrift store that I know is underpriced {brand new in the box UGGS $6.99}. Its hard to say, but I am going to try to find out. #9 on my list is to run a race. Will it be a real race that requires an entrance fee? Or will it be me and the hubster in the front yard? Well....

You have been invited to participate in a friendly* 5k run sponsored by “The J Project”

I'm totally in! I'll be amongst the crawlers as I can't even run a measly mile! But I've always wished I was a natural runner. So, I'm in! See ya on the 12th!

Hey J Sisters, we are so in! Who cares if we live 5 hours away! I just want to thank you so much for the invite to do this challenge along with you this year. I will be sending in my list in the next couple of days. Just want to make sure that i am married to all thirty of them first. One of mine is get back in to jogging. I have been wanting to for about 3 or 4 months, but hadn't found the motivation to put on my running shoes until now!! Again thanks. Oh and my whole family will see you all in Feb. Joe and I will run/walk and our boys will cheer us all on in the jogging stroller.

Wow! I'm so excited with everyone's responses to our run! Juli scoped out the run for us the other day, how'd it go?

This sounds like fun, I hope to be cleared by the doc after having luxe but if I do I wanna do it! I wil be a crawler and probably come in last but hopefully someone will keep me company through the embarassment;)

Don't worry Annalee, I'm sure we'll have all speeds. How many weeks post partum will you be?

Annalee said...

I'll be eight weeks post partum. I just started at curves and it almost killed me! Not sure I'll be up for it!! May have to wait until someone hosts another one:(
