Mike's Truck Garden...by Juli

I always find myself in an ongoing debate as to who has the best prices with the bonus of convenience for my grocery needs. In a dream world I would have everything delivered to me so I never had to step in a blimey grocery store again. Well, I don't see that happening in the near future, but a girl can dream right? Back to the real world, I have found a really cool place to buy local veggies at a very reasonable price. Check out Mike's Truck Garden near the intersection of River Road and Fulton Road in Northern Santa Rosa:
The sign said 1.99 per basket so I was loading up...then I realized it was 1.99 per pound per basket...a little confusing, but still worth it since it's local produce!
They have eggs, milk, cheese and some meat!
Lots of nuts and dried fruit
I don't you can get any more local than this:

I felt like the prices were really reasonable, although I did get a little carried away with the fruit. But it's summer and you have to have all the yummy peaches and cherries! I really recommend checking them out! Oh and they take debit cards, a big bonus for this never carrying cash gal.
