"No Impact" Night....by Juli

Because of my new found love of being environmentally friendly as possible, I hosted an evening of going green by watching a great documentary entitled "No Impact Man". Except for the bad language I really enjoyed seeing normal people push themselves to the limit of going green. No toilet paper and electricity is a little extreme, but I think buying at our local farmers markets and composting our kitchen scraps are things that we all could work on. Anyways, it was good to see just how disposable and wasteful our society is and that just how great it is going to be in the new system!

I cooked Lasagna with Chard, and I think it was a hit with the gals. Personally I thought it was a little dry and was lacking some vital ingredients like: juicy spicy italian sausage, garlic, and tomato sauce. I have found out that my cookbook leaves out all the fatty goodness....although there is a filet minon coming up!

I felt so guilty after watching this movie, there is quite a bit more I could be conscious of and not buying. Thanks for letting me borrow it Juli.
