Only 8.....By Juli

Did I tell you all about my buying new experience?!?! Ok, ok, hold on....it was a wedding shower gift!! I went to TJ MAXX, a place I formally visited, often. It was on a kind of day when you have more things to do than hours within the day. Anyways I rushed past the clothes, handbags, and shoes and went directly to the home department. I picked a few items, but i got no thrill at all with buying something new. Totally anti-climatic. I thought afterwards I would feel some kind of great rush or sense of euphoria. But no, it was plain as white paper...blah. I do have to admit that I did accompany Kit when purchasing some new items. One was a harness for Lola cuz her fat neck outgrew her current collar. Which she is like our child so I could justify it just like Ian, Anya, Malia and Phoebe get new shoes :) The other was a new spray nozzle for the hose and a push broom. Real exciting huh?!? Once again plain white paper...blah. While in the city, twice, I found two stores that I am dying to visit January 1st. One, Sports Basement in the Presidio and two, New People in Japan Town. I actually found a mini bulldog figurine and sticker at New People that I REALLY wanted to buy. Mom even offered! But was it a necessity? Totally NO! I gotta save my offers from Mom and Dad for when I really need something!...hint hint......

As for the cooking I made 8 recipes.....not good at all!!! I am having a cooking mental block, no thats not it it's called I am busy and sometimes I plain just don't want to cook! And honestly sometimes I just want to cook something without having to read or search for obscure items at Safeway. So thats that. Ok, well I look forward to April where I will watch my vegetable garden blossem into my own organic farmers market and I am also excited about THE CLOTHING EXCHANGE!!!!!!

Ha ha, your child Lola grows out of her neck collars like our kids grow out of shoes!

Oh and New People is SO YOU. Did you see how crazy they were about No Photos and if you wanted to try on one of those dresses you had to wear a face shield?
