Green Onion Gnocchi and Eggplant & Parsley Fritto Misto...by Juli

I bravely "tried" to make gnocchi. I would never ever let Marco or Marcella eat it though..a total disgrace to the true italians! No, it really wasn't to bad, just really dough-y. Kit thoroughly enjoyed it and I was more excited about the fact that I used green onions from my garden...Yippee!! Oh, and obviously Lola Bear felt like Italian that night too...

As for the fried eggplant...Delicious! The key to perfectly fried food is to have the oil really hot! I used a thermometer and made sure the oil reached 350 degrees before my battered eggplant took the plunge. So Delish! I felt like it needed a good creamy dipping sauce with some kick to accompany it though. Next time.

Just the other day I was thinking that I needed a pair of everyday tennies. And look what I found...cha ching! The good thing is if I change my mind about these barely used in the box delights I could at least get my money back on ebay....still deciding. But who could resist shoes with little scottie dogs?!?!? Not this Juju!

Charity - Those were the onions you gave me....they were green onions, right? The purple part I pealed off and then they looked more like "green onions". I totally agree on the shoes....anything is cuter with a bulldog!

Oops....Ok, well obviously I have no idea what is growing in my garden! Since you are the expert you are going to have to let me know when I can pull up those things.
