Tapped...by Jessica

I know that plastic water bottles are no good, and I haven't touched a plastic water bottle since I watched Tapped. But I have to tell you that although I think my Earthlust stainless steel water bottle is aesthetically pleasing, it just doesn't bring me as much joy as the Smart water bottle. The mouth opening is just a little too big (Smart water's is perfect), it doesn't fit in my car cupholder (Smart water fits like a glove) and I miss the fish.

They came out with a "I am Not a Paper Cup" cup, so there has to be a "I am not a Smart water bottle" bottle out there.

Anyone seen anything like that???

Hey remember my "I am not a paper towel" dish towel? Still my favorite. I bought a metal container at walmart that fits in my cup holder and has a straw type of thing. If I can't have the perfect water pouring circumfrance (yikes spelling!?!?) I would brefer to have a straw.

agree, i hate when the opening is too big and it sloshes over your face while drinking. UGH, we are freaks! Mom and Dad are so easy going, how did we end up like this?????

We aren't freaks, we just know what we like! I don't think its a bad thing to know exactly what you love and what you don't. It probably is an indication that we are a little spoiled, wheras people who have less don't complain with what they have. I am sure Mom and Dad are particular about things too, remember mom only read books with matte covers with a pretty picture? Dad is very neat and tidy and hates the sound of crunching? We all have our particulars :)

My boss' family has metal bottles with much smaller openings. More liek a normal water bottle. Maybe you just need to hunt for another water bottle. I'll keep my eyes open for ya!! I found a pair of merrel shoes today at a garage sale for $2 in great shape! Yes we found a THursday garage sale what fun! I got a clothing steamer too which i'm super excited about and FINALLY found an egg poacher pan. You know that they are incredibly hard to find these days!

***Let me apologize in advance for the my incredibly long and probably unreasonable complaint. ;)***

I totally know what you mean. My Earthlust bottles do exactly the same thing! I can't tell you how often I spill water all over myself when I drink out of them! SO EMBARRASSING! My giant Klean Kanteen has an even bigger opening and an impossible sport top. The best I have found is my SIGG. The sport top is useless (why is it so hard to make one that works???) but the main opening is about the right size. Thanks for the chance to vent about this Jess. Not everyone would understand if I started carping about the fact that I am physically unable to drink water without making a huge mess because most stainless steel water bottle engineers don't know what they're doing! :(

P.S. Jess- Thanks again for the candy and cute shirt! Cachet orange almond bar is now one of my favorites! I'm saving the blackberry ginger bar for a rainy day...not a literal one. I probably shouldn't delegate a whole chocolate bar for every wet day around here lately! ;)

Juli - okay freak is a little harsh :-) Jessica - awesome finds! I need an egg poacher. Marcella - yes, I'm glad you feel my pain. Maybe I need to look at the Sigg bottles more closely, the opening seemed large...but maybe there are different styles! Glad you like the chocolate. I like the orange one too :-)

I know I'm a few days late to this post - but can I add my water bottle complaint? What are kids supposed to do with these huge stainless water bottles that either don't fit into their lunch boxes OR completely smash their sandwich because they are so big & heavy when filled with water? If we aren't supposed to buy the little plastic water bottles, can't they make smaller water bottles that will fit into lunch bags? (That also don't cost an arm & leg - because theses are kids and they lose everything!) Alright, I'm done - thanks for letting me vent ;)

Yes! Smaller lightweight water bottles for the kids....and how about ones that don't leak!
