Veggie CSA Box....by Jessica

I just started getting my weekly veggie CSA box from Foggy River Farms. This week was a very exciting pickup week as one of their goats just had babies and we got to hold them and wish they were coming home with us.

It's been a slow start to the season (obviously we know why..rain rain go away) but it's still fun to get a weekly present. This week the box included beets, lettuce, radishes, bok choy, butternut squash, spinach and sage.

So now all I need to find is a local dairy delivery guy. I've heard of a man named Mr. Moo who delivers Straus Family Creamery items, but I have not been able to get in touch with him. Anyone have any other recommendations?

So Where is this foggy farms place? Jax would love to see baby goats, and I would love the veggies!

At Big John's yesterday I watched a guy buy a glass bottle of Strauss organic milk & return his empty bottle at the same time. I was trying not to be obviously nosey, but was intrigued since he paid almost the same price as the organic milk I was buying in a carton. Anyway, here's a link to Strauss' website & a list of who offer home delivery of Strauss milk: http://www.strausfamilycreamery.com/?section=FAQ%27s

Hey, thanks for that link Jeni! I will call the Sonoma Marin milkman guy. Strauss milk is so yummy, it even has the big chunk of cream on top. Interestingly, I worked for Strauss as a temp about 10 years ago. It was way too far away to drive to daily, but it was fun while it lasted.
Jessica, here's the link to the Foggy River Farms: http://www.foggyriverfarm.org/
It's on Eastside road a little past Windsor River Road.
