M.I.A....by Jessica

I've been missing, haven't I?

I have nothing interesting to say. I keep trying to think of things to write about - for a whole week I've been trying - and nothing.

Here's the best I can do.

I read that apple cider vinegar will help minimize the appearance of melasma spots (hyperpigmentation of the skin) so I put it on all over my face and then did my normal cleanser scrub of honey, sugar, lemon juice and olive oil and when I was done and looked in the mirror my face was RED - like tomato red - ALL over my face. So I waited a few minutes and fanned my face with cool air, thinking I was probably just overheated with all the excitement of apple cider vinegar on my face, but nothing was going to bring that color down.

So I swiped on some Bare Minerals foundation and went on with my day. The next time I looked in the mirror it seemed better. I'll give it a few more days and if it continues to get red I guess I should stop? Or maybe that means it's working? Who knows.

Also, my tip for mother's who's children need to spend more time playing in their bedroom. Move the furniture around. Today the mood struck me to do some deep cleaning, throwing away and general organization and I had them help decide where to move their furniture. And got the little weaklings to pick up the other end of the bed, desk and dressers and move it with me (probably not smart to do on the same day of a chiropractor's visit). Anyhow, they were so excited about the changes - they kept saying how HUGE their roomed seemed and we also unearthed some long forgotten toys so it was like a fantastically special and fun day! (okay slightly dramatized - but they truly did seem excited).

Well, that's about all I can drudge up!

Have you checked out earthclinic.com? It's a site full of home remedies. They say apple cider vinegar cures all sorts of ailments. My Mom is big on the apple cider vinegar kick & drinks it straight everyday (like a shot glass size). I tried for a few days, but it's so strong! I did find it really helped my sinuses, so I now I take it in pill form. Haven't tried it on my face though :)

Jeni - I haven't seen that site - but I just look and I love it! The one I was looking at kept calling it ACV and it took me a while to figure out what wonderful thing ACV was. I also drank apple cider vinegar in shots when I had that horrible cough last winter. Didn't help at all but neither did the 4 rounds of antibiotics, 5 inhalers, reflexology, massages, and every other home remedy people told me about!
